GuardianLight · Privacy
Privacy should be part of the safety plan.
GuardianLight is designed to help people slow down and choose a safer next step when something may be a scam or fraud. We try to collect less, explain what happens, and keep public guidance separate from private account tools.
What we collect
Public guidance. You can read the public site without creating an account. Public choices and guidance are intended to remain on the page and are not a substitute for contacting your bank, payment provider, law enforcement, emergency services, or a qualified professional.
Accounts. If you create an account, GuardianLight may receive the email address, optional display name, optional phone number, authentication records, consent choices, and security/session information needed to operate the account.
Private tools. If you use the AI Advisor, message review, document review, or human-support workflow, the service may process the content you submit and the resulting response. Conversation saving is opt-in where the product presents that choice. Do not submit information about another person unless you have a lawful reason and permission to do so.
Operational data. The service may receive basic request, error, security, and performance information needed to protect and operate the service. We do not use public guidance content to build advertising profiles.
How we use information
- To provide the page, account, security, advisor, review, and support functions you request.
- To prevent abuse, protect accounts, troubleshoot failures, and maintain service integrity.
- To review and improve the service using bounded, synthetic, redacted, or authorized data.
- To respond to a support or escalation request when you explicitly choose that workflow.
GuardianLight does not submit fraud reports, stop payments, freeze accounts, contact institutions, or call emergency services for you unless a separately described and explicitly authorized workflow says otherwise. The current public guidance does not do those things.
When information may be shared
We may share information with service providers that help host, secure, maintain, or operate GuardianLight, under appropriate instructions and access controls. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or to investigate abuse. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Official resources linked from GuardianLight, such as FTC, FBI IC3, USA.gov, banks, card issuers, and payment providers, have their own policies. When you follow a link, you are leaving GuardianLight.
Retention, deletion, and security
We aim to retain information only as long as needed for the stated purpose, security, support, and legal obligations. Retention periods can vary by record type and may change as the service is reviewed.
Account and deletion controls may be available in the service. Deleting an account does not necessarily erase information that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, backups, or an active support record. No internet service can promise absolute security.
Cookies and analytics
GuardianLight uses an essential first-party cookie to support account sessions, security, and remembering that you accepted the privacy notice. The cookie banner explains this use. It is not an advertising cookie.
GuardianLight does not use advertising cookies. The public pages use Google Analytics to understand aggregated site usage and improve the service. Analytics may use cookies or similar measurement technologies; see the available privacy choices and the current Google Analytics controls for details.
Your choices
You may choose not to create an account, decline to submit optional content, avoid saving advisor conversations, or stop using the service. You may contact the operator about privacy questions or a request concerning your information. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.
Children
GuardianLight is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, use the support pathways provided on this site. Legal counsel should review whether a higher age threshold or additional state-specific language is required.
Contact
For service questions or reports, use the support pathways provided on this site. GuardianLight is a project of Echoes of Legacy, LLC. Do not send passwords, payment details, access codes, or unredacted identity documents by email or through a contact request.
Updates
We may update this page as GuardianLight’s data flows and safeguards are reviewed. The effective date at the top will change when the policy changes materially.
